The CID Institute started in October 1999 as PLAN-OPEC Oficina de Planeación Ecológica in Santafe de Bogotá, Colombia, to manage it´s projects STUDIES ABOUT THE COLOMBIAN BERLIN SETTLEMENTS ("Berlin Project") and FOUNDATION OF AN ARTISTIC CERAMIC ARTCRAFT ATELIER. It´s first years printed reports have been designed to support the funding applications. With it´s establishment in Germany in June 2002 and the successive development of the former Environmental Planning Office towards an politically acting Independent Media Institute the CID Reports started to be directed towards a wider circle of lectors and to serve as didactic basic information source for critical educational tasks. Concept of the Institute is to develop an extense constructive common sense based on the focussed thematic problem analysis and discussions.
